Rapperul Kendrick Lamar se află pe primul loc în topul celor mai multe nominalizări la MTV Video Music Awards 2017, fiind nominalizat la opt categorii.
Videoclipul “Humble” al lui Lamar, în care rapper-ul este văzut culcat pe grămezi de bani, recreând faimoasa pictură a lui Leonardo da Vinci “Cina cea de taină”, și cu părul în flăcări, se găseşte şi în cursa pentru cel mai bun videoclip al anului.
La această categorie au mai fost nominalizate “Reminder” (The Weeknd), “24K Magic” (Bruno Mars), “Scars To Your Beautiful” (Alessia Cara) și “Wild Thoughts” (DJ Khaled cu Rihanna și Bryson Tiller).
Kendrick Lamar este nominalizat, printre altele, la următoarele categorii: “videoclipul anului”, “artistul anului”, “cel mai bun videoclip Hip Hop”, “cea mai bună imagin”, “cea mai bună regie”, “cele mai bune efecte vizuale”.
